Radiance Yoga Presents…Yoga for CrossFit!
Do you struggle with flexibility and tightness? Does the thought of squatting to depth sound painful? Or does opening your shoulders in overhead squats limit your performance?
If you want to unlock greater mobility and better performance in the gym, adding yoga to your routine might just be your secret weapon. Yoga can increase strength, flexibility, and mobility, leading to less pain, improved performance during workouts, and faster recovery.
Yoga will also teach you to tune into your body and increase body awareness for better balance, coordination, form + injury prevention.
Another great benefit you might not be thinking of? Breath! Yoga teaches efficient breathing and breath control which can increase energy + mobility during workouts and recovery time between intervals.
What can you expect in these classes? Each class will target the entire body with a special emphasis on mobility for the foundational CrossFit movements. The styles of Yoga taught will be more active including vinyasa + power but each class will conclude with restorative poses and relaxation techniques that you can use to improve everyday life.
Classes will be taught for the “advanced beginner” level which means students likely have a lot of experience with movement and exercise but very little experience with yoga.
This will be a 6 week course, beginning on Tuesday, February 1,2022. Class will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15 to 9:15. Cost for members is $120 for the 6 weeks.

I found yoga in college when I was looking for a way to control my anxiety and heal my body from chronic stress + overtraining. I am so proud to now share the practice every day and give others permission to slow down, reconnect with their bodies and feel like unicorns in daily life.
Funny story - I completed my 200-hour yoga certificate with Radiance Yoga in Pittsfield, MA and now I'm the owner of that studio and leader of my very own 200-hour online teacher training. Just goes to show that you never know where life (and yoga!) will take you! This practice has transformed my life personally and professionally, and now my mission is to inspire a similar positive change for others.
In recent years, I completed my 500-hour advanced certificate with Brett Larkin and am currently studying under Baron Baptiste. I’m addicted to learning, and after earning my Masters Degree in Exercise Science + Health Promotion, I have never stopped seeking more yoga, fitness and wellness knowledge.
My classes emphasize linking breath with movement, discovering safe + enjoyable options for the modern body and making yoga techniques accessible off of the mat. I love heart openers that counter our daily lives and restorative poses that give us permission to rest.
I recently moved to the area with my husband and I am loving the beautiful views, endless trails and amazing people. I’m so grateful to be a part of this CrossFit community and can’t wait to share my love for yoga with YOU next!
